Nate has a background in architecture and holds a B.S. in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology. He has experience with residential homes and commercial buildings. He joined the Iron Engineering team in 2019.
In his spare time, Nate enjoys designing houses, playing cards, and spending time with his family. He has a lifelong passion for cars.
Karen brings a diverse set of skills to her role thanks to her experience in customer service, project management, and teaching. She holds a B.S. in Family Studies and a Master’s in Elementary Education from the University of New Hampshire.
Since 2014, Karen has served two terms as a Trustee of the Rye Public Library in Rye, NH. She has been both Secretary and Vice Chair.
In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, reading, downhill skiing, hiking in the woods, and relaxing near the ocean.
Mr. Coviello’s background is in structural engineering. He holds a B.S. (’97) and an M.S. (’00) in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire. He opened his first structural engineering firm in 2007, providing general structural engineering consulting services. In 2015, Tony left to form Iron Engineering, a structural engineering firm specializing in cold-formed steel design.
Tony has provided structural design and analysis for a variety of institutional, commercial, industrial and residential projects. He has over a decade of specialized expertise in the design of cold-formed steel structures and building envelopes.
In 2009, he was awarded the NH Young Engineer of the Year award. At that time he served as the President of the Structural Engineers of New Hampshire, advocating for structural engineering related issues in New Hampshire and promoting the growth of the industry.
For over a decade, he has worked with the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors (NCEES) as an exam development volunteer.
In 2009 and again in 2011, Mr. Coviello was elected to the Portsmouth City Council. During his time on the council he advocated for sustainable budgeting, transparent government, good schools and infrastructure improvements.
In 2011, Tony was recognized by the NH Union Leader and the Business Industry Association of NH as one of the “Forty Under 40” leaders making a difference in the state.
Mr. Coviello serves on the University of New Hampshire Civil Engineering Advisory Board and has been Chair of the UNH Civil Engineering Alumni Conference.
In his free time, Tony enjoys mountaineering, running and skiing with his wife and two children.
Jacob joined the Iron Engineering team in 2020 as a Project Technician. He has a background in machine operation, as well as knowledge and experience in window fabrication. He has worked with the software application AutoCAD since 2018 and holds an A.A. in English from North Shore Community College.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys spending time with his family, tabletop gaming, reading fiction, and cooking.
Tyler’s background is in Computer Aided Design (CAD). He holds an A.S. (’09) in Architectural Engineering Technology from New Hampshire Technical Institute. He began his career at a structural engineering firm in Portsmouth, NH, in 2009, working as a draftsman with a primary focus on shop drawing creation for cold-formed steel engineering projects. In 2015, Tyler followed Anthony Coviello and helped start Iron Engineering, specializing in the design of cold-formed steel structures.
Over the years, Tyler’s duties have included the creation and development of construction documents with a specialty in cold-formed steel shop drawings, estimation of design costs, coordination with contractors/material suppliers, and serving as a single point of contact on projects. He has over eight years of experience in the cold-formed steel design industry.
In his free time, Tyler enjoys kayaking, woodworking and spending time with his family.
